Evaluation of card personalization profiles CB-EMV
The deployment of new card products (dual-interface, Combined DDA ...) has an impact on issuers’ profile customization.
To ensure optimal card acceptance on the field, ELITT and certification body PayCert have developed an
evaluation and certification service for issuer card personalization profiles. This service allows verifying, under laboratory conditions, the personalization profiles on an issuer selected lot of cards. The evaluation and certification of card personalization profiles is performed according to applicable CB specifications:
- CB-EMV General specifications
- CB "Dual-Interface V1 General card specifications,
- General requirements - CB V2 Dual-Interface specifications
The tests are carried out by means of ELITT’s “ICC Check”, a validated tool, accredited through to the applicable procedure of our ISO 17025 certified laboratory and according to the current CB specifications on dual-interface and contact cards.
The tool “ICC Check” incorporates the CB Dual Interface V1 and V2 specifications and verifies their implementation.
The evaluation also includes a verification of the magnetic stripe personalization profile well as a visual card control.
An ELITT banking expert validates the report and issues technical recommendations regarding the identified non-conformities and their possible impacts on the acceptance of these cards in the field.
