"Terminal Lecteur" v03.30 standard

The SESAM-Vitale terminal is connected to a workstation with a licensed SESAM-Vitale health software package. It allows the joint use of health professional identification cards and patient health cards for the creation of electronic invoices.

ELITT is a GIE SESAM-Vitale referenced laboratory for terminal conformity evaluations to the “Terminal Lecteur v03.30” standard. In this context, ELITT performs conformity assessments and assists in the development of industrial products in order to optimize their time-to-market.

The "Terminal Lecteur" standard applies to any two-card slot type equipment, integrated into the overall architecture of the workstation of the health professional as described in the diagram shown below:


The “Terminal Lecteur” standard is based on a unique hardware for the coexistence of multiple applications.
The scope of the SESAM-Vitale approval covers only the hardware, kernel and applications regarding SESAM-Vitale. From this basis, the terminal manufacturer has the option to add and implement other applications that are out of the SESAM-Vitale scope and correspond to other card issuers needs(*)
