Multimodality Biometrics Authentication Device (MBA DEVICE)

ELITT participates in a collaborative R & D project carried out by uConekt, supported by the Development Agency for Normandy with funding from the Normandy Region and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The objective of this project is to develop a secure bracelet, called uBolt, connected via Bluetooth and NFC, allowing to authenticate its holder to access services like physical access control or online access, proximity payment or e-payment, transport ticketing, etc. connected to its mobile phone, tablet or laptop. The authentication of the holder is performed by a multimodal biometry system (fingerprint and voice).

In this project, ELITT, together with the research laboratory GREYC, will evaluate the performances of the biometric subsystem integrated in the uBolt bracelet, in black box mode on the finished product but also in white box mode thanks to the developments realized by the company Eff'Innov, in order to obtain a certification issued by PayCert.

ELITT will also, together with its partner Symbial, test usage on the Calypso transport ticketing application and a payment application loaded in the bracelet, by means of Focus Group and its Living Lab.

The project is being co-financed by the European Union et Région Normandie.

The EU finance up to 40 % of project costs and Région Normandie, up to 35% of projects costs.
